Took the Eagle Feeding Cruise with my parents visiting from India. The skipper was punctual and explained the route clearly before departure. The mangrove channels were quite different from what we expected — more intricate than generic tour descriptions suggest. Seeing the Brahminy kites was worth the early start, though the feeding itself is brief. Vessel was clean and the breakfast adequate.

Chartered the Four Islands Circuit for our family group. The vessel handled well and the crew knew the waters thoroughly. Dayang Bunting lake requires a somewhat steep walk from the jetty — something to consider if mobility is an issue. The packed lunch was decent, nothing elaborate but practical for eating aboard. Overall coordination was good, though I would have preferred more time at Beras Basah for swimming.

The Andaman Overnight was exactly what we needed — a chance to properly disconnect. The 48-foot cruiser had enough space that our group of six didn't feel crowded. Cabins were functional rather than luxurious, which suited the charter nature. The cook prepared simple but well-executed meals. What impressed us was the crew's knowledge of the anchorage sites and their willingness to adjust timing based on conditions.

Booked for a corporate team outing. The Four Islands route worked well for our mixed group — some wanted swimming, others preferred photography. The crew accommodated both without rushing anyone. Communication before the charter was straightforward, and they were clear about what was included in the price. One suggestion would be providing more detailed information about the islands beforehand for those unfamiliar with the area.

Chartered for my husband's birthday. We appreciated the flexibility when weather required rerouting — the skipper explained the options clearly and let us decide. The eagle feeding was engaging, and the nature guide's explanations about the ecosystem were informative without being overly detailed. The vessel appeared well-maintained, which gave us confidence throughout the trip.

First charter experience in Southeast Asia. The booking process was more straightforward than expected — direct communication with the operator rather than through multiple intermediaries. The overnight charter gave us access to snorkelling sites that day trips can't reach. Facilities aboard were basic but functional. Would have preferred slightly later breakfast timing on day two, but understand this might be linked to tidal considerations.

Charter Highlights

Situation

A photography group from Kuala Lumpur wanted to capture eagle feeding and limestone formations during optimal morning light. They needed flexible timing to account for weather and visibility.

Approach

We scheduled the Eagle Feeding Cruise for 7:30 AM departure to catch early light. The skipper coordinated with the nature guide to position the vessel at angles favourable for photography. Additional photography stops were added at cave formations.

Outcome

The group captured images in good lighting conditions. Post-charter, they mentioned the crew's willingness to adjust positioning and pace was valuable for their needs. Duration extended by 30 minutes at no extra charge.

"The crew understood that photography requires patience and positioning. They didn't rush us and knew where the light would be ideal at different times." - Photography group coordinator

Situation

A family with elderly grandparents wanted the Four Islands experience but had concerns about mobility, particularly the Dayang Bunting lake walk which involves stairs and uneven terrain.

Approach

We discussed the physical requirements of each island stop during booking. The itinerary was modified to spend more time at islands with easier access — extended swimming at Beras Basah and Kentut Besar, briefer stop at Dayang Bunting with grandparents remaining aboard.

Outcome

The entire family enjoyed the charter without physical strain on the grandparents. They appreciated the pre-planning conversation that allowed realistic expectations rather than discovering limitations mid-voyage.

"They didn't just say 'we'll figure it out on the day.' The booking manager asked specific questions about mobility and adjusted the plan accordingly." - Family member

Situation

Australian marine biology students wanted the Andaman Overnight specifically to observe night-time marine activity and collect water samples from different depths for their research project.

Approach

The itinerary was adjusted to include anchorage at a deeper water site suitable for sampling. The crew assisted with equipment setup and maintained stable positioning during collection. Evening time was allocated for observation from the deck with minimal cabin lighting.

Outcome

Students collected samples at multiple depths and observed nocturnal marine behaviour. They particularly valued the crew's understanding of tidal movements and how these affected their sampling windows. Samples reached their lab within the required timeframe.

"The crew approached it as a working charter rather than just tourism. They understood we had specific requirements and helped make those happen." - Student group leader
